Kevin Casey, President, PEMCO World Air Services

Kevin Casey has served as President of PEMCO World Air Services since 2007. Mr. Casey joined PEMCO is 2003 and has also served as head of Business Development and President of PEMCO’s conversions division. Mr. Casey leads a global aircraft cargo conversion and airframe MRO service provider with locations in Tampa Florida and Cincinnati Ohio, and partner operations in Southeast Asia. His responsibilities include all customer-facing aspects of the company, in particular business development, sales and marketing, product engineering, product support and program management. Mr. Casey’s broad aviation background spans aircraft MRO and modification, jet engine maintenance, component repair and OEM parts manufacturing, and PMA parts manufacturing and distribution. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Mr. Casey is private pilot, was United States Air Force trained, and his calendar includes frequent speaking engagements at aviation seminars worldwide. Having performed thousands of heavy airframe maintenance visits, PEMCO is a leading provider aircraft MRO services for Boeing and Airbus equipment as well as regional jets. PEMCO is known worldwide for its hundreds of cargo conversions across 26 different aircraft platforms, and regional marketshare as high as 82%. PEMCO is owned by Sun Capital Partners, a highly successful US$40B private equity company.
Bob Convey, VP Sales & Marketing, Aeronautical Engineers, Inc.

Mr. Convey was named Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Miami Based Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. in August 2009. Prior to Mr. Convey’s appointment at AEI he held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing for Ancra International based in Hawthorne California. While at Ancra he was responsible for sales & marketing efforts that contributed to Ancra becoming the number one Cargo Loading Supplier in the world. Prior to Mr. Convey’s appointment at Ancra he held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing for Structural Integrity Engineering (SIE) based in Chatsworth California. While at Ancra he was responsible for sales & marketing efforts that contributed to the signing of the launch customer and eventually certification of the Alcoa-SIE 757-200SF Passenger to Freighter Conversion Program. For more than 50 years, Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has provided advanced engineering solutions to aircraft owners and operators. Today, AEI is a global leader in passenger to freighter conversions for a wide array of aircraft including the B737-200SF, B737-300SF and 737-400SF. AEI is currently developing the first MD80SF passenger to freighter conversion which will be certified in the Summer of 2011.
Bob Dahl, Managing Director, Air Cargo Management Group
Mr. Dahl has 40 years of experience in the aviation industry. He presently holds the position of Managing Director at Air Cargo Management Group. In his role as Managing Director, Mr. Dahl manages the day-to-day operation of the company and oversees many of the firm’s client projects, particularly those involving aircraft capability and performance evaluation. Additionally, Mr. Dahl is a frequesnt contributor to the Cargo Facts newsletter. Before joining ACMG, Mr. Dahl was employed for 20 years by the Boeing Company, where he held a number of engineering and management positions in that company’s Commercial Aircraft and Advanced Systems Divisions. Mr. Dahl earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Washington, and a Master of Science degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
Daniel Da Silva, VP – Freighter Conversions, Boeing Commercial Airplanes

eing named Daniel Da Silva as vice president of Freighter Conversions for Boeing Commercial Airplanes in January 2010. He leads an organization that provides customer-focused service solutions designed to meet an airline’s individual requirements. He has profit-and-loss responsibility for all Boeing and Douglas freighter conversion models. Prior to this assignment he was vice president of Sales and Marketing for Commercial Aviation Services (CAS), with responsibility for leading efforts in the worldwide sales and marketing of CAS products and services. Da Silva was previously vice president of Customer Support for Europe. In this assignment, he worked closely with airline customers in the region to ensure that their post-delivery technical requirements, support and solutions needs were met. A native of Brazil, Da Silva has extensive experience in engineering, sales and marketing in commercial aviation. His career involves three different aerospace companies: Embraer, McDonnell Douglas and Boeing. He joined Boeing as a sales director for Latin America in 1997 following the merger with McDonnell Douglas. Da Silva began his career as a flight test engineer for Embraer. Within a year he moved to marketing as a sales engineer for the Brazilian aerospace company. He joined Douglas Aircraft Company in 1990 as a sales engineer. In 1993, he was named regional director of marketing and became director of sales a year later. Da Silva currently serves on the Seattle Goodwill Board of Directors, a position he was appointed to in October 2007. He received his aeronautical engineering degree in 1989 from the ITA Technological Institute of Aeronautics and has completed programs from the American Management Association and MIT Sloan School of Management. Born in Paris, Da Silva grew up in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil.
Jim Edgar, Regional Director of Cargo Marketing, Boeing Commercial Airplanes

James “Jim” Edgar has been regional director – cargo marketing for 18 of the 38 years that he has been associated with the air transportation industry. As regional director, Edgar leads Boeing air-cargo monitoring efforts in Asia and is a key member of the team that produces The Boeing Company’s World Air Cargo Forecast. The forecast is published in even-numbered years and is considered a leading information resource for the industry. Edgar’s expertise on air cargo trends also plays a key role in Boeing product strategy and product development efforts. Previously, Edgar worked in the Boeing Defense and Space Group, where he was involved in program planning, contracts and finance for the Inertial Upper Stage program. He also spent three years with a commuter carrier and four with American Airlines. Edgar managed military passenger and cargo terminals in the United States and the Middle East during five years with the U.S. Air Force, where he attained the rank of Captain. He served on the staffs of two presidents while assigned to Air Force One. Born in San Francisco, Edgar grew up in Southern California. He holds an undergraduate degree from Rutgers College and has an M.B.A. in International Business from the University of Washington. He is married and has a son and daughter. He serves on the board of directors of The International Air Cargo Association, as well as several educational and charitable institutions.
Dr. Xiaowen Fu, Assistant Professor, Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies, Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Dr. Xiaowen Fu is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Business, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia in Canada. His main research area is transport economics which covers issues such as competition policy and government regulation, efficiency benchmarking, transport demand modeling and industrial organization. Most of Dr. Fu’s studies are related to the aviation industry. He has been the principal investigator of 7 research grants related to the aviation industry with a total support over 1.8 million Hong Kong dollars. These research grants covered topics such as airline productivity analysis, airline network development, airline – airport vertical relationships, airline competition and product differentiation, low cost carriers, airline demand modeling, bilateral liberalization and open skies etc. Dr. Fu has provided consulting and economic modeling services to organizations such as the Boeing Commercial Aircrafts, New Zealand Commerce Commission, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, Australian Competition Tribunal. He is also a co-author for the report to the 2009 OECD Transport Ministerial Conference, and an invited writer and speaker for the 2008 OECD – International Transport Forum. In addition, Dr. Fu has been the academic adviser to the Liberalization Report of the Province of the British Columbia, Canada. He has also been the conference chair / co-chair of the International Forum of Shipping, Ports and Airports in year 2008 to 2010. He is a member of the Air Transport Research Society (ATRS), International Maritime Economists Association (IAME), the World Conference of Transportation Research (WCTR) and the American Economics Association.
Jack Gaber, Corporate Deputy VP & GM, Marketing & Business Development, Israel Aerospace Industries’ Bedek Aviation Group
Jack Gaber is Corporate Deputy Vice President & General Manager, Marketing & Business Development at Israel Aerospace Industries’ Bedek Aviation Group (IAI). Prior to his current appointment Mr. Gaber led Bedek’s U.S. marketing activities at IAI North America (1999-2009) where he held the title of Vice President of Business Development for Commercial Programs. Mr. Gaber joined Israel Aerospace Industries in 1978 and has held a number of senior positions at IAI’s Bedek Aviation Group including Director of Marketing & Sales at Bedek’s Components Division and Director of Marketing & Business Development for Europe. Mr. Gaber has a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Alan Hedge, Research Director, Air Cargo Management Group
Alan Hedge joined ACMG in 2006 as an Analyst, and now serves as its Research Director. Mr. Hedge has more than 20 years of experience in the airline industry in a variety of financial and consulting roles from fleet analysis to international regulatory and competition analysis. He started his aviation career in 1989 at American Airlines. He left in 1999 to become Research Director at The Campbell-Hill Aviation Group in the Washington, DC area. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.
Andreas Hermann, Vice President Freighters, Airbus
Andreas Hermann is responsible for coordinating the commercial freighter activities of Airbus with the objective to enhance Airbus’s presence in the freighter segment. He began his aviation career with DaimlerChrysler Aerospace (now EADS) in Corporate Strategy, after which he joined Airbus in 1999. Prior to his current position, and after having worked as Marketing Director, successfully promoting the Airbus product line with airline customers in Europe and the Pacific, he had various responsibilities as Sales Director, coordinating and leading sales activities to airlines across Europe. As academic background he owns a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from the Technical University of Munich, Germany and a postgraduate degree in business administration from the Open University in the UK.
Stanley Hui, Chief Executive, Hong Kong Airport Authority
Appointed as Chief Executive Officer in February 2007. Former Chief Executive Officer of Dragonair and Chief Operating Officer of Air Hong Kong. Director of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport Company Limited. Director of Hong Kong – Zhuhai Airport Management Company Limited. Member of the Hong Kong Government’s Aviation Development Advisory Committee. Member of the Fifth Shenzhen Committee of the People’s Political Consultation Conference of China. Member of the Greater Pearl River Delta Business Council. Member of the Commission on Strategic Development of the Hong Kong SAR Government. Member of the Vocational Training Council. Chairman of the Chinese Cuisine Training Institute Training Board. Member of the Hong Kong Tourism Board. Member of the Construction Industry Council. He was appointed a Justice of the Peace in July 2006 by the Chief Executive of HKSAR.
Rob Hyslop, VP Aviation Network Development, DHL Express HK Ltd.
Robert (Rob) Hyslop is Vice President Aviation and Network Development Asia Pacific for DHL Express, based in Hong Kong. Prior to his recent move to Hong Kong, he was for four years the Chief Operating Officer of Transmile Group Berhad, whose subsidiary Transmile Air Service provides scheduled and supplemental all-cargo services in Asia from its base in Kuala Lumpur. He served as a director of Transmile Group and its associate K-Mile Air, Thailand’s only scheduled all-cargo airline based in Bangkok. Before that for a period of 19 years, he held various aviation and operations related positions in DHL Express in the US and Asia. He earned a BA in Microbiology from the University of Minnesota, and served as a volunteer in the US Peace Corps (Thailand).
Teddy Lee, Assistant President Airline Planning & International Affairs, Air China Cargo
Mr. Lee has more than 20 years of experience in the aviation industry. He currently holds the position of Assistant President Commercial – Planning & International Affairs of Air China Cargo based in Beijing. In this role, he is responsible for network planning, fleet planning, investment appraisal and securing various regulatory rights/approvals for the airlines’ operations. Prior to his current role, Mr Lee had served in a number of management positions in Cathay Pacific & Dragonair covering extensive functions such as cargo, airline planning, fleet evaluation/acquisition and revenue management. Mr Lee holds a BSc degree in computer science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MBA degree from the University of Warwick UK.
Dongqi George Li, Vice President, SF Express & President, SF Airlines
George Li is VP SF Express & President SF Airlines, based in Shenzhen, China. From 2007, Mr. Li has led to set up SF Airlines and has successfully got the AOC from CAAC in 2009. SF Airlines, the subsidiary of SF Express, has now been the fastest growing cargo and express carrier in China. Prior to his current position, he was COO & VP of mangocity.com company limited, a subsidiary of China Travel Services HK. Before that He served as GM & Chief Representative of Abacus International in China. Mr. Li worked for IBM for 5 years as Business Consulting Services Manager of IBM China Distribution Section and Airlines Solutions Manager IBM Asia Pacific. Mr. Li has a Master Degree and a Bachelors Degree on Engineering.
Didier Lenormand, Head of Marketing, Freighter Aircraft, Airbus
In his current function, Didier and his marketing team supports all Airbus commercial campaigns related to our Family of freighter aircraft, both new and converted. Didier works in close cooperation with the Freighter Aircraft Sales Unit with a special interest for the China market capitalizing on some 20 years of regular presence in this part of the world. Didier’s other functions are to keep strong links with Airbus’ Asset Management Division and towards other key areas within Airbus in order to fulfill our commercial success with regards to new and used aircraft transactions. The group (7) , under Didier’s leadership, also provides expertise and support regarding future Airbus freighters.
Ram Menen, Divisional Senior Vice President Cargo, Emirates
Ram Menen is Divisional Senior Vice President Cargo, Emirates. He began his career in aviation in 1976 at Kuwait Airways. He later moved to British Airways to head its cargo operations in Kuwait. In 1984, he joined the Kuwaiti aviation group Alghanim Al Qutub Shipping Agencies, to set up and manage its airfreight-forwarding unit in Dubai. Mr. Menen has headed the cargo division of Emirates since the inception of the airline in October 1985. Trained as an engineer, he spearheaded the conceptualisation and development of the LD-36 (AMF) type of ULD (Unit Load Device) which increased usable space on each lower deck pallet base by 33 per cent. He is a FCILT (Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transportation). He is one of the founder members of The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA), the premier organisation for the entire air logistics business, serving as Vice President in 1993 and 1994, and as President, CEO and Chairman of the Board in 1995 and 1996. He continues to be involved with TIACA as a Trustee and member of the Chairman’s Council. Mr Menen is a member of IATA’s Cargo Committee and was its chairman from 2008-2011. He also serves as the Vice President of CILT (UAE Chapter). He has been a resolute champion of air logistics industry and is actively involved in the development of various IT initiatives to address the needs of the industry. He has helped focus attention on cargo as an integral part of the world trade process.
Graham Perkins, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Asia-Pacific, Atlas Air
Graham Perkins became Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Asia-Pacific, for Atlas Air, Inc. (Atlas), a subsidiary of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc., in September of 2002. Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Perkins is responsible for all Atlas activities in the Asia -Pacific region, including sales and marketing, customer relationships, operational performance and business administration/compliance. Before joining Atlas in 2002, Mr. Perkins spent 15 years with Air Canada and Canadian Airlines (the two airlines merged in 2000), where he managed the Asia-Pacific region and served as Country Manager in the Philippines and China, in addition to holding various head-office roles prior to moving to Asia. He is a graduate of the University of Calgary Haskayne School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Nick Rhodes, Director Cargo, Cathay Pacific
Nick Rhodes was appointed Director Cargo in August 2010 and is responsible for all aspects of the Cathay Pacific Group’s cargo business worldwide, including operations, marketing and sales. He has worked with the Group for more than 30 years, including twelve years in the Flight Operations Department. Prior to taking up his current position, Mr Rhodes was Director Flight Operations.
Gary Warner, VP of Corporate Development, Precision Conversions

Vice President Corporate Development. Mr. Warner is responsible for the identification, analysis, negotiation, coordination and ongoing management of the business relationships with vendors and customers. In addition, Mr. Warner is responsible for the identification of strategic business opportunities that leverage the company’s platform, project management and product support. An employee of British Aerospace (more recently BAE SYSTEMS) for over 13 years, his early career covered the research and manufacture of various missile systems at British Aerospace, Dynamics. After moving to British Aerospace, Aviation Services, he completed numerous engineering and sales activities on the Airbus A300B4-100/200 PTF before heading the team to develop the A300-600/R PTF. In addition Mr. Warner managed the preparation of agreements for the BAE SYSTEMS / BOEING UK MOD 767 Tanker Aircraft and study for the A320 PTF preliminary design. Mr. Warner graduated with a BSc in Physics from Leicester University, UK.
Dennice Wilson, VP of Network Planning, Engineering and Support, FedEx Asia Pacific
Dennice Wilson is currently Vice President for FedEx Planning, Engineering & Support for the Asia Pacific Division. Based in Hong Kong, Ms. Wilson leads the FedEx Asia Pacific Division organization, which is responsible for planning & implementing short and long term operational tactics and strategies across all Asia Pacific FedEx operations. Ms. Wilson oversees a diverse staff across Asia Pacific who are responsible for all aspects of process engineering, standards, tools, technologies and quality management, as well as vehicles and facility infrastructure. This organization is also responsible for management of the Asia Pacific Hub Operations, located in Guangzhou, China and for the oversight of the APAC flight network control operation. Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Wilson was the Vice President, Supply Chain Solutions, Asia Pacific. Previous to this, she has served as Managing Director Planning and Engineering, South Pacific Region and has also served as the Managing Director for Singapore and Malaysia. Ms. Wilson began her career in 1983 as a courier in Houston, Texas. She has risen within the ranks and has held various management positions within the company. Starting in Malaysia in 1994, she has worked in Asia Pacific for 18 years. Ms. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Biola University, California. She also holds a Masters Degree of Business Administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
