Cronan is currently the Head of Strategy at the aircraft lessor CDB Aviation. As one of the world’s largest lessors of A330s, CDB Aviation is at the forefront of bringing the A330 P2F to market as a leasing product, with its first aircraft being converted in 2021 and on lease to cargo operators from early 2022.
Cronan has worked throughout the aviation value over a diverse, 24-year career – within the fields of aircraft leasing & finance, aviation advisory, airline set-up & management, and OEM aircraft marketing.
Cronan joined CDB Aviation during 2020 where his engagements have centred around growth strategy, portfolio strategy, market analysis, aircraft evaluation, fleet planning, investment diligence, aircraft placement, and forecasting – including the business’ market entry into freighter leasing with the A330 P2F.
Cronan previously founded and led Avanti, a consultancy dedicated to serving the specific needs of the aircraft leasing and investment space. He spent seven years with the lessor GECAS, latterly as the Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer and formerly as Head of Airline Strategy. Cronan began his career at Airbus in Toulouse, in various marketing roles, notably as Marketing Director of Asia.
Cronan is based in Dublin, Ireland.
