Sanand Karnik joined ASL Aviation Holdings DAC in 2014 and is currently the Head of Business Development and Joint Ventures. ASL Aviation Holdings is a leading global aviation services group with four mainly cargo European airlines, joint venture airlines in Thailand and India, and an associate airline in South Africa, as well as maintenance facilities and leasing entities.
Sanand is also currently acting as Chief Operating Officer of K-Mile Air, ASL’s JV cargo airline in Bangkok, Thailand.
Previously Sanand was Vice-President, Joint Ventures at ASL Airlines Switzerland, formerly Farnair Switzerland AG. He is now responsible within ASL Group for joint ventures with a focus on Asia, in addition to his involvement in special projects, strategic development, and M&A activities.
Sanand has held various management and leadership positions in ASL Group airlines and previously with Farnair Group at their offices in Tulsa (USA), Dubai (UAE) and Basel (Switzerland), where he is based at present.
Sanand has a Degree in Engineering from the University of Pune, India, and an MBA from Willamette University, Salem, USA.
